Public Service in Dublin

Giving Back to the Community

Elizabeth McClain meeting with the Women's International Network of Utility Professionals

Elizabeth McClain brings a strong foundation in public service and policy, rooted in her early career with the State of Ohio. She began her service at the Legislative Service Commission (LSC), where she gained firsthand experience analyzing legislation, understanding the policy-making process, and supporting lawmakers with nonpartisan research and insights. She then transitioned to the Legislative Information Systems Office (LIS), where she focused on improving access to legislative information and streamlining government transparency through digital systems and tools.

She continued her service locally as a member of the Dublin Community Services Advisory Commission (CSAC). In this role, she worked directly with city staff and council to evaluate community needs, develop strategic recommendations, and ensure that city programs and services remain responsive, inclusive, and efficient. Her experience across both state-level legislative operations and local community engagement uniquely positions her to understand policy from the ground up and to advocate for practical, people-first solutions.
